My family attended a kid’s party last night, held at a McDonalds store. It was held a bit late so we already had dinner before coming to the party. So we were basically full when food was served. I ate my burger, but the two other burgers were not eaten, so we just brought them home.

And so we have instant microwaved burgers for breakfast this morning ūüôā

Filipino Sweets

Hey guys, I’m back in the Middle East after a brief stint in the Philippines.

One of the Pinoy traditions is bringing some sweets to your family and friends after coming from a trip to your home country. But most of the stuff I brought were just given to me by family and friends back home, so I didn’t have to buy a lot. Here’s what my luggage had ūüôā

CHICHACORN is also a favorite among Pinoys. Chicha-corn is a variant of cornick. Generally, cornick is fried white glutinous corn kernels seasoned with various ingredients and flavoring. Chicha-corn is produced by boiling and drying white glutinous corn kernels followed by deep-frying, then seasoned with various ingredients and flavoring. So, cornick products vary in the mode of processing prior to deep-frying. Chicha-corn is a delicious and nutritious snack food.

This pack was made by Ilocos and is cheese-flavored. I have also tasted the other product which is garlic-flavor.

BANANA CHIPS. The Philippines is also known for its sweet banana chips. Banana chips are deep-fried and/or dried slices of bananas. They can be covered with sugar or honey and have a sweet taste, or they can be fried in oil and spices and have a salty and/or spicy taste.
